Our
loving, charming and creative young lady. Shauna is an 8th
grader, but due to the size of our town attends high school.
Needless to say, our former nickname "She-Shy" doesn't
hold anymore - kept busy with homework, Chorus, FCA
(Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and HOPE club (Hawks Opposed to Prejudice
Everywhere) Shauna so far has straight-A's this year! Last year
gymnastics and cross country were added to the mix... now that
must have been really rough!Shauna likes being around older kids anyhow so attending HTHS has been fine. Being fun, responsible, mature - we tolerate her checking out the cute guys. She goes to all the dances and has a few heart-throbs and so far shares our perspective on boys and going out as they say.
About 4 years ago Shauna started singing and LOVES it. She has not stopped learning and improving. A member for 2 years in ChildrenSong of New Jersey she has been a featured singer at several concerts. Even on a CD the adult chorus released Shauna sings a duet with boy-soprano Alex P. in the group. In November Shauna joined ~50 kids on a tour to Rochester, NY joining legendary Jazz composer and saxophonist Paul Winter in a performance of his music. Mr. Winter selected CSNJ from many others to sing. The group stopped at Niagara Falls while up north making her the youngest member of our family to get to Canada!
Speaking of choirs, this summer an excellent French Boys Choir from Aix-en-Provence sang an awesome concert at Grace Episcopal in Haddonfield and we hosted 2 boys her age. We had lots of fun with friends who put 3 boys up - and had an ice cream sundae party with 10 kids (thanks Kathy ;-) Au revoir! Si vous parlez français, déclic ici tout de suite!
